Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 7:30 am–4 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (727) 893-5050. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, ufhealth.org.

I had such an amazing experience today at the University of Florida Dental Clinic! I came in for a cleaning and a few fillings, and from start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. First, I was greeted so warmly by Mrs. Carla, who did my cleaning. She was incredibly thorough and took the time to explain everything she was doing. She even showed me the proper way to floss and brush to help prevent future issues, which I really appreciated. Then I went to Dr. Kerry (and I believe her assistant’s name was Loriana—apologies if that’s wrong! 🫣. Let me just say—WOW. I’m someone who absolutely dreads getting shots in my mouth (who doesn’t?!), but Dr. Kerry was so gentle, patient, and quick. She constantly made sure I was comfortable and not feeling any pain. Also, the ladies at the front desk were extremely kind as well. Everyone I encountered was so informative and welcoming, which made the entire visit that much better. Every single person I interacted with today was kind, professional, and truly cared about my experience. For the first time in my life, I actually enjoyed going to the dentist! My teeth look and feel amazing, and I couldn’t be happier with the care I receiv

For starters, this provider is the ONLY Periodontist for Adults in the entire state of Florida for those on FL Medicaid. Keep that in mind, without this office and staff, if you need peridontal work in Florida and on Medicaid, they are your only option. The staff at the front desk are amazing! Once they get to know you, they will "check you in" once you enter the building. My hygentist Goldy was a delight. Made the experince wonderful. Dr Megan McNabb also was outstanding, sadly I hear she will be graduating soon. Best of luck on her for her future!

We had an amazing experience at this dental office in Seminole. My daughter broke her front adult tooth and was extremely anxious, especially about the laughing gas. The staff was incredibly patient and kind, took their time to explain everything to her step by step, and helped me calm her down. The doctor even played Frozen on a JBL speaker to help her relax, and it worked. They were able to complete all the work without rescheduling. I’m so grateful for their compassion and care. Highly recommend!

This was my first time calling this place. The receptionist Simone was disrespectful and unhelpful on the phone. She hung up on me not once, but twice after calling to schedule an emergency appointment. Very unprofessional staff. They don’t care to help their patients. Don’t waste your time going here!! Would give 0 stars if I could.

I had a good experience at the University of Florida dental in St. Petersburg. Both doctor and hygienists were really kind and gentle on my sensitive teeth. They offer affordable prices. It's just a little bit hard to find it in the middle of the Seminole buildings.
